Operating a POV in Korea

If you do purchase a vehicle overseas, you may opt to buy it at the AAFES/NEXCOM Exchange car dealership on base or through another dealer that specializes in military sales, such as Volvo Car Korea.

Dealers, such as Volvo Car Korea Co., often offer military personnel prices below the retail price, with direct delivery to service members in Korea.

Conversely, should you plan to bring your vehicle with you, keep in mind that typically only grades TSgts and above are entitled to bring one vehicle with them to Korea. In addition, it is best to call your next duty station or ask your sponsor before you decide to ship your vehicle since some installations do not authorize POVs.
